Japanese Language Support Now Shipping
Mattec Corporation announced today that Japanese Language Support is now available for Mattec MES, Release 7.7. With this addition, Mattec MES is now available in English, Chinese, Czech, German, Japanese, Polish, Portuguese, Portuguese (Brazil), Spanish, and Spanish-Mexican.

Touchscreen Calibration
Mattec has implemented a 3+1 point calibration algorithm in the TSMIU. This algorithm dramatically improves the calibration for the touchscreen MIU and is available as an update to every TSMIU that Mattec has implemented since 1995. Maintenance customers should contact the Mattec Customer Service Department for additional information.

Mattec MES, Release 7.5, includes a full translation into Simplified Chinese. Mattec MES now supports a wide variety of languages, including English, Czech, German, Portuguese, Portuguese-Brazil, Spanish, Spanish-Mexican, and Simplified Chinese. What's next? We're working on a translation into Arabic.

Publish Real-Time Displays to your Intranet
Mattec MES, Release 7.5, allows you to publish any Real-Time Display to your Intranet server via our Data Import/Export option. This enhancement allows you to view a Real-Time Display via any supported web browser, including Internet Explorer. Users can easily create their own custom Real-Time Displays using any of the more than 500 fields that are available in the Real-Time Display Writer. Displays can be published to your Intranet server automatically and as frequently as you'd like.

Introducing the Pocket PCMIU
The Pocket PCMIU is an optional feature that is available in Mattec MES, Release 7.5. It takes a familiar interface (the PCMIU) and improves it... by making it much smaller. The result is an easy-to-use interface that allows the user to enter scrap, select downtime reasons, call for help, and much, much more. The Pocket PCMIU is just one more example of the open architecture that Mattec MES is built on.

XKO Software Ltd. and CMS Software, Inc. have renamed their merged operations Solarsoft Business Systems. Solarsoft provides ERP solutions for manufacturing, distribution, wholesale, and merchants. Mattec will continue to operate as a stand-alone enterprise with it's existing name and management.

CMS User Conference
Join Mattec at the CMS User Conference in Niagara Falls, Canada, September 16 - 18, 2007. This conference will be ideal for Mattec customers who are investigating ERP solutions from CMS or who want to learn about the latest features in Mattec MES.

This year’s conference is being held at the elegant and historic Brock Plaza in the heart of downtown Niagara Falls, Ontario Canada. The Brock Plaza is part of a complex that includes Casino Niagara, restaurants such as The Hard Rock Café and Planet Hollywood, an Indoor Water Park, and shopping.

There will be several networking events on Sunday afternoon, including a Winery Tour, Shaw Festival (live theater), and a Golf Tournament held at the fabulous Legends on the Niagara.

Cavity Pressure Control Enhancements Now Shipping
Several enhancements are now available for Mattec's industry-leading cavity pressure control feature. Cavity pressure control is an optional feature that is available with Mattec MES and adds about $3,000 to the price of a ProHelp® EPM production and process monitoring system (excluding the costs for sensors).

Modbus PLC Interface Now Shipping
An optional Modbus PLC interface is now available for the TSMIU. This interface allows the MIU to collect data from up to 30 sensors/devices, in additional to standard cycle time monitoring. A PLC Interface for the Siemens 505 PLC is currently being developed.

TSMIU 750-A600, Revision G, Now Shipping
TSMIU 750-A600 is a version of the TSMIU that runs on both Mattec MES and ProHelp® Millennium. Revision G adds support for the Portuguese language, supports a large number of PLC Interfaces, and contains minor enhancements and bug fixes. Revision G contains bug fixes and the enhancements that were present in Revision F.

2005 Training Schedule

Software In The Spotlight - Automating Data Exchange

Software In The Spotlight - Voice & Email Alarms
Mattec first introduced a Voice Board option for ProHelp® more than 10 years ago. That system required a Prose 4000 board and converted typed text into speech. Today's Voice Board option for Mattec MES uses sound files that can be recorded by the customer. It can be combined with the Email Alarm option to create a very efficient system for alerting users to alarm conditions throughout the plant.

Mattec MES, Release 5.2.2, Now Shipping
Release 5.2.2 of Mattec MES is now shipping. This release is a maintenance release for customers who are on versions of Mattec MES that are older than Release 6.0.0. Any existing Mattec MES customer who is not currently on Release 6.0.0 will need to upgrade to this release before upgrading to Mattec MES, Release 6.1.0.
